My dad has his own personal orchard of all types of fruit trees. Well yesterday he brought me a huge bag of apples and this happened.APPLE PIE FILLING:• 10-12 apples, peeled and chopped into cubes (I used Granny Smith) •. 2 tsp cinnamon • 1/2 cup potato starch • ⅓ cup brown sugar •. 2/3 cup sugar • 1 cup water •. 1 cup orange • 1/2 tsp nutmeg • 1½ tsp vanilla extract • pinch of salt • Juice of 1 lemonCHIMICHANGAS:• 4 small flour tortillas • ¼ cup sugar • ½ tbsp cinnamon • •. 4 tbsp OilInstructions 1 Peel the apples, cut them into cubes and set aside. 2 Pour the water, sugar, salt, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla extract, nutmeg, cornstarch in a saucepan and stir. Put on medium heat to cook for a few minutes (about 3 min), stirring occasionally.3. When the mixture thickens, add the apples and cook for about 10 minutes until apples are soft . Remove from heat to cool for a few minutes. 4. Put apple pie mixture in the middle of tortilla. Close tortilla on both sides and roll it like a burrito. 5. brush all sides of chimichanga with and place into air fryer basket. 6. place chimichangas into air fryer basket and cook at 375 for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 5-8 minutes. 7. Brush warm chimichanga with apple pie sauce and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. If you like drizzle with Carmel sauce.Enjoy
